This really is MY message to the Church, to Christians of ALL denominations. We're also usually negotiating for Religion around Connection with God. He's NOT fascinated by our rituals, self-righteous works, or our ability to help keep denominational rules - not even the 10 Commandments. Seriously, NOBODY does hold them, irrespective of how hard we try. The Five Commandments, Paul said (2 Cor. 3), included glory, but they're diminishing out, in the same way certainly whilst the wonder of Moses'face also faded. The NEW Covenant not merely has MUCH higher honor, but it's honor that "lasts." The Five Commandments didn't last permanently; they certainly were made as a short-term "ministry of condemnation," developed to show people what sin was, they needed a Savior, and finally, cause visitors to Christ when He arrived on the scene.
Yes, I really do, including 4 right decades at a School collecting that met at 6PM on Sunday's. A couple of months ago, 6 months at a Methodist Church and, today, at a hispanic pentecostal Church being employed by the Rubbish Church.But therein lies my concern. LOTS of it had been never shown by Jesus or any of the early apostles and, I believe, much of it only serves to make God's children slaves to Religiosity. Thus, we should ALL loathe it aside from where we find it, from Islam to Methodism to Pentecostalism. Pastors and priests, I implore you, irrespective of how defectively your persons might strive to be spiritual, for it's man's nature to do this in an effort to score factors with Lord - anything nothing folks can do - help them to find and foster a radiant, REAL relationship with Jesus. God recognized the sacrificial system Herself therefore that individuals COULD enter in to relationship with Him. Jesus WAS that sacrifice, when and for all.
For starters, that's the Law again. Romans 14:5 tells us, "One man thinks one day more holy than another; yet another person thinks every single day alike. Each one should be fully persuaded in their own mind." Psalm 118:24 declares, "This is the time the LORD has made;We shall enjoy and be happy in it." Interpretation: Whether it's Halloween or Xmas, July 3rd or November 8th, a Friday or even a Tuesday...THIS could be the Lord's Day. We must encourage and reinforce one another all the time as Hebrews 3:13 instructs us: "...exhort one another everyday, whilst it is called "Today," lest any one of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."Several who use that line achieve this as a means of brow-beating individuals into visiting church, thereby returning the New Covenant teachings to the Law of Condemnation. Let us examine the line together.
