Funny how I've been an NFL fan all my entire life yet it's only given that I've research the story behind their title origins. I was fascinated by the reports and produce me love NFL baseball more. Each NFL includes a story behind their name. As the origin of some titles is self-explanatory, the others are far more storied or obscure. Listed here are my favorite tales.
Dallas Carries - In 1921, the Decatur Staleys moved to Chicago, Illinois. Chicago previously had a football group named the cubs. So manager George Halas chose "Bears" as an alternative, as baseball is a much more tough sport than soccer is.
Cleveland Browns - A man named Paul Brown served as the Browns' first head coach and normal manager. The original Browns team later moved to Baltimore (1996), getting the Baltimore Ravens. Four years later, a new Cleveland Browns emerged as an NFL growth team.
Indianapolis Colts - The Ohio Seahawks transferred to Baltimore, Maryland, in 1946. A person called Charles Evans won a name-the-team contest, by choosing the name "Colts." Maryland is well-known for the racehorses, why did Evans pick the term that identifies a new guy horse? His argument was that the Baltimore football team is the youngest staff in the league. Additionally, he observed that "Colts" was easy to state and contain in the headlines of newspapers. When the staff transferred to Indianapolis in 1984, it kept the name.
