Land border runs

How to apply?
Step 1: Choose a nearest land border to your current location in Vietnam for the most convenient visa run journey.
Step 2: Apply a Vietnam approval letter to your specific land border that you choose via reliable travel agency. This visa invitation letter must be official and original one authorized with red stamp (a scanned copy is unaccepted). You can get an original letter sent by post or picked up at a travel agency in person.
Step 3: Choose a proper means of transportation to go to the border. Normally, you can catch a bus, a van or even you can also ride your own motorbike for more exciting experience to travel to the Vietnamese side of the border where you will receive a stamped out and your old visa becomes invalid as soon as you show your passport.
Step 4: On the way back to Vietnam Immigration where you will present all prepared documents (passport, invitation letter and photos) and pay visa stamp charge. Then you continue waiting until an Immigration officer finishes their check and stamp your passport a new duration of stay.
Step 5: Return to Vietnam once again by taking a bus or whatever transport you choose.
Airport border runs
Specific requirements:
Copy of your Vietnam visa approval letter issued in a bilingual format (English and Vietnamese). It can be a private visa letter which has one name in an issued paper or a shared visa one which has many strange names issued in the same document.
02 passport-sized photos
Your passport that must be valid 6 months at least from your entry date and have vacant pages minimum.
Vietnam visa application form that you can print and fill up in advance or at Vietnam airports.
Vietnam stamping fee (in cash), credit card is unaccepted. You should use US dollars for the most benefit advance. Generally, it costs $25 for single entry visa and $50 for multiple one.
How to apply?
Step 1: Acquire a visa approval letter from reliable travel agency before your trip.
Step 2: Do good research to hunt cheap flights to an adjacent countries (Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore) on some cheap airlines like Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific and Vietnam Airlines.
Step 3: Take a flight and exit Vietnam, you will be received an exit stamp inside your original passport.
Step 4: Re-enter Vietnam. Upon landing at Vietnam airports, you will head to “landing visa counter” to submit your essential papers including: a print-out of your visa letter, your valid passport, a full-filled Vietnamese visa application form and 02 photos. Then a stamping fee is required to pay prior to you receive a new actual visa stamped inside your passport. Then enter Vietnam legally.
Note:
Philippine passport holders are granted with 21 days visa-free to enter Vietnam, meaning you are given another 21 days duration of stay as you exit and re-enter the country.
Holders of Philippine passports are eligible for Vietnam E-visa that you can apply directly through official website of government. However, it is available for maximum one month tourist visa, single entry.
